Here's my story...
VestiaireFMR — the initials of my first and last name — is above all a personal story and a passion passed down by my mother, who introduced me at a very early age to fine materials and to quality over quantity. She is the one who ignited in me this passion for fashion — a passion that has never left me.
From the age of 18, I became interested in second-hand clothing, convinced that the most beautiful pieces deserve a second life. With over 35 years of experience in the fashion world, I have learned to recognize true craftsmanship, to hunt for rare pieces, and to understand what fashion lovers are really looking for.
The Architecture of a Timeless Wardrobe
I conceive of style as a thoughtful construction. My mission is to accompany you in building a wardrobe that traverses the seasons without ever losing its relevance.
My curation is organized around three pillars, designed to meet every facet of your expectations:
Signature: The quintessence of luxury. Iconic pieces chosen for their noble materials — cashmere, silk, full-grain leather — and for an artisanal craftsmanship that can be read in every finish, every seam, every detail invisible at first glance.
Essential: Premium without the label. Pieces that do not always carry a well-known name, but which offer a price-quality ratio that few major brands can match — noble materials, impeccable tailoring, careful manufacturing — to build a solid wardrobe without paying the price of a logo.
Vintage: The memory of beautiful European clothing. Rare pieces, difficult to unearth, coming from workshops that still hone their craftsmanship on European soil today. A selection that favors the years preceding the massive arrival of polyester and synthetic materials — when fashion was still conceived in terms of noble materials and durability.
The selection is also organized by season — Spring-Summer and Autumn-Winter — to allow you to navigate at the rhythm of the fashion calendar and to find the right piece at the right time.
A Demand for Quality Materials
My choice of materials is never trivial. I prioritize breathable fibers — cotton, wool, silk, linen — that accompany the body rather than stifling it, and I ban, as much as possible, synthetic materials derived from plastic, too often invisible in our closets. When a piece contains elastane, I tolerate a maximum of 6%, a threshold that preserves both the drape of the garment and its natural dimension. And because every wash of a synthetic fiber releases microplastics into the water, I systematically recommend the use of a laundry bag — a simple but essential gesture so that the second life of each piece is never at the expense of the environment.
My Vision
I believe in a fashion that combines style, authenticity, and responsibility. My commitment is a promise of rigor: whether you are looking for a rare vintage piece or a contemporary essential, every item that becomes part of VestiaireFMR is subject to a demanding selection process — one based on material, cut, and durability.
Welcome to a wardrobe where every choice makes sense.
