History

Founded in Milan in 1913 by Mario Prada, the house first established itself as a specialist in luxury leather goods before becoming, under the impetus of Miuccia Prada in the 1980s-1990s, one of the most intellectually demanding and influential houses in global fashion. In 1997, Prada launched the Linea Rossa line — literally "red line" — initially inspired by the world of sailing and sports performance. The distinctive small red rectangle sewn onto the pieces quickly became an iconic symbol of luxury streetwear, highly prized in the 2000s and successfully reissued in recent years. This taupe beige ribbed wool beanie, made in Italy, perfectly embodies the Linea Rossa philosophy: Italian luxury minimalism, where the quality of materials and the discretion of the logo speak louder than anything.
