Maison Kenzo vintage dangle earrings — aged copper leaf with bronze patina, 1980s–1990s, Paris. Earrings from Maison Kenzo (Paris, founded in 1970 by Kenzo Takada), from the golden age of the house. Organic and sculptural design: an aged textured copper leaf with authentic and uniform bronze patina — nature as language, travel as inspiration, Kenzo's poetic DNA in its purest form.

Copper / jewelry alloy with aged bronze patina. Designer costume jewelry, Paris 1980s–1990s. Original clasps carefully restored by a professional jeweler — perfect hold and complete security when worn.

Very good vintage condition — uniform and preserved bronze patina, no flaking, clear and intact textured patterns. Ready-to-wear piece.

A fragment of Parisian fashion history, ready to be reborn — the poetry of Kenzo Takada, Paris since 1970.

History

Kenzo Takada arrived in Paris in 1965 with 100 dollars in his pocket and a radically new vision of fashion. In 1970, he opened his "Jungle Jap" boutique in Paris and revolutionized French fashion with vibrant colors, exuberant floral prints, and a blend of cultures and textures. Where Paris was rigid, Kenzo brought freedom. In the 1980s and 1990s, at the height of the house's fame, Kenzo extended his poetic universe to costume jewelry — pieces sculpted from metal that embodied his philosophy: nature as language, travel as inspiration. These aged copper leaf earrings are the perfect expression of this: organic, textured, alive. These earrings had been dormant for decades. Rather than leaving them as inaccessible memories, meticulous restoration work has brought their clasps back to life, making them perfectly secure and ready to wear once again — a fragment of fashion history, ready for a rebirth today.

Period & Origin

1980s-1990s – France (Paris, Kenzo House) These earrings belong to the period of Kenzo House's full international expansion, when the brand was at the peak of its creative influence and produced its high-end costume jewelry in France. Designed in Paris under the direction of Kenzo Takada, they reflect the organic and graphic aesthetic characteristic of the house during that decade — nature-inspired motifs, textured metals with an aged effect, hand-sculpted forms.

Status

Very good vintage condition. The aged bronze/copper patina is authentic, uniform, and perfectly preserved – no flaking, no alteration of the metal. The textured patterns are crisp and intact. Restoration: The original clasps, worn by age, have been carefully restored by a professional jeweler. This intervention ensures a perfect fit, complete security when worn, and makes the piece immediately ready to wear, without altering its period charm and authenticity.
