History

Founded in Paris in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, the eponymous fashion house is one of the oldest French couture houses still in operation. Jeanne Lanvin, initially a milliner, quickly established herself as one of the most influential designers of the Belle Époque and the Roaring Twenties — celebrated for her stylish dresses, exceptional embroideries, and keen sense of elegant femininity. The house gradually expanded its universe to include menswear, fragrances — such as the iconic Arpège (1927) — and accessories.
