History

Born in Beirut in 1964, Elie Saab is one of the most famous and admired designers in international haute couture. Trained in Paris, he founded his fashion house in Beirut in 1982 and quickly established himself as the undisputed master of the evening gown: creations of absolute femininity, exceptional embroidery, noble materials, and incomparable technical mastery. In 2002, Halle Berry wore an Elie Saab gown to receive her Oscar — a historic moment that propelled the house onto the world stage.
