Prada Milano archival blazer 100% pure virgin wool black — sartorial tailoring, archive label, Made in Italy, 1990s–2000s. An archival blazer from the house of Prada Milano (founded in 1913), from the Miuccia Prada era when the house was redefining the codes of global luxury. 100% pure virgin wool, viscose lining, two-button closure, flap pockets, and a piped chest pocket. Archive labels characteristic of Milanese sartorial production from this period.

History

Founded in Milan in 1913 by Mario Prada as a prestigious leather goods boutique, the brand took a decisive turn in the 1970s when his granddaughter Miuccia Prada took over the company. A doctor of political science and a feminist activist, she transformed a luggage company into one of the most influential creative forces of the 20th century. During the 1990s and early 2000s — the era of this blazer — Prada redefined the codes of global luxury. The house established itself as a master in the art of blending the rigor of traditional Italian tailoring with a refined, intellectual, and decidedly modern aesthetic. Black, virgin wool, sartorial cut: these are all signatures that make every Prada piece from this period a true archival item.

Period & Origin

Late 1990s – early 2000s – Italy (Milan, Prada S.p.A.) Several clues allow for precise dating of this piece: the square main label in matte tone-on-tone black fabric, framed by a corded trim, is characteristic of Prada's high-end production from this period. The lower white label with detailed traceability codes—customer number, order, model (23 1004), and fabric batch—is typical of Prada's production archives from the turn of the millennium. Made in Italy in Milanese sartorial workshops selected by the house, during the time when Prada was at the peak of its creative influence and manufacturing standards.

Status

Excellent, like new condition. No flaws to report—no stains, snags, or wear at the elbows or cuffs. The wool is intact, and the viscose lining is perfectly preserved. Buttons and pockets are in perfect condition. Clean and ready to wear.
