Gold crystal rhinestones carefully arranged on the front, back, and sleeves — a signature of the Rykiel spirit, Left Bank Parisian chic.

100% Pima cotton. Designed in Paris under the creative direction of the Sonia Rykiel house, produced by H&M with material and finish requirements specific to the brand.

History

Sonia Rykiel, nicknamed the "Queen of Knitwear," founded her fashion house in 1968 on Rue de Grenelle in Paris. A pioneer of liberated and joyful women's fashion, she revolutionized the sweater, elevating it to the status of a designer piece—with its stripes, rhinestones, and embroidered inscriptions, signatures of an immediately recognizable Left Bank style. In 2009-2010, the collaboration with H&M marked a historic turning point in the democratization of French luxury: for the first time, Rykiel's DNA—her noble materials, shimmering details, and Parisian spirit—became accessible to the masses. The collection sold out in a few hours worldwide. With hindsight and the wave of Y2K nostalgia, these pieces have now become true collector's items, highly sought after by fashion enthusiasts and connoisseurs of the Rykiel brand. This Pima cotton sweater with its golden rhinestones is one of the most representative examples.

Designed in Paris under the creative direction of the Sonia Rykiel fashion house, the collection was produced according to quality standards negotiated with H&M, with particular attention paid to materials — including this high-end Pima cotton — and the brand's signature details (rhinestones, flared collar, feminine cut).

Status
