History

Founded in London in 2001, Stella McCartney established a revolutionary vision of luxury from the outset: creating exceptional clothing without leather or fur, and with a deep environmental conscience—an avant-garde stance at a time when luxury fashion was only just beginning its ethical transition. The daughter of Paul McCartney and environmental activist Linda McCartney, Stella grew up with deeply held convictions. Trained at Central Saint Martins in London, she honed her expertise at Chloé before launching her own house in partnership with the Kering Group. Her collections combine rigorous British tailoring, relaxed femininity, and noble materials selected for both their quality and their reduced impact. This virgin wool and silk sweater, made in Italy, is a perfect illustration of this.

2010s – United Kingdom (Stella McCartney Ltd) / Made in Italy Several clues allow us to date this piece accurately: the lettering on the main label, formed by discreet dots, the mention "Made in Italy" and the model reference (324902 S1432) are characteristic of Stella McCartney's production nomenclatures for her high-end ready-to-wear during this decade. Made in Italy in the workshops selected by the house for their expertise in fine knitwear, this sweater benefits from Italian textile know-how applied to a demanding virgin wool and silk blend.

Status

Excellent, like new condition. No flaws to report — no pilling, stains, snags, or discoloration. The knit is intact and retains all of its softness. Clean and ready to wear.
